How to:
1. Go to Start.

4. Look at the different tabs and look for “Startup” and click on it.
5. Now you should see many different programs as such:

6. In this list, if your computer is kinda old, you should see many programs. A majority of them will be spyware/adware. All you have to do is uncheck the programs that you do not wish to start up in the beginning. After you have done this, it will ask you to restart. Click restart now and restart the computer. After you do this, you should notice that your computer will start up MUCH faster.
Step 2: Clean your temp files, cache files, and recycle bin.
How to:
1. First you need to have the Hard Drive you want to clean. To do this, right click on START. Then click explore. After you have done this, look on your left and select the drive you wish to clean. An example of the drive would be “Local Disk: C” or “Local Disk: D”
2. Right click on your disk and go to “Properties.” You should see the screen below. If you dont, u did not follow directions.

3. Now for the cleaning. Click “Disk Cleanup” near the bottom right.
4. Depending on the speed of your computer and the volume of the disk you have left, it should take some time.
5. After disk cleanup has finished analyzing the system, you should see a small window with different files and sizes.
6. Check the boxes that you wish to clean. The preferred ones are always, “Temp Internet Files” + “Recycle Bin” + “Temp Files.” After you have done this, click “Ok.” The cleanup processes should also take some time depending on the speed of your computer. (the speed will be faster after you have finished the guide)
7. You are now done with the disk cleaning.
Step 3: Get a RAM boosting software/buy more RAM.

You can download the software here: RAM Booster 2.
2. After you have done this, install the software and follow the directions to optimize your RAM.
3. If you really wish to increase PC or Laptop performance, buying more RAM is the best option. First find you what type of RAM stick your computer supports. Then find an online retailer like newegg.com and buy your ram.
