What are some Mesothelioma Treatment Options?

Have you ever thought about what mesothelioma actually is? Despite seeing all those ads about lawyers helping the ones affected by mesothelioma, people just don’t know what it is and how to treat it. Im no doctor, but after researching a little bit, i have found a small list of the options, from a credible source, that mesothelioma patients have. However, before we get to that, we need to see what mesothelioma is. Mesothelioma is “is an uncommon, but no longer rare, cancer that is difficult to diagnose and poorly responsive to therapy.” It is an asbestos related disease, and the malignant form is the most serious. For those of you looking for those treatment options, Mesoinfo.com has some important information:

Your Mesothelioma Medical Options

Malignant mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer which occurs in the lining of the lung (the pleura) or in the abdomen (the peritoneum). In very rare cases, mesothelioma can occur in other areas of the body as well. The major known cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos. Although science is not certain as to the exact mechanism which causes mesothelioma, it is thought that the asbestos fibers puncture the parenchyma, become lodged in the pleura, and by process of irritation create the change in the cells which causes the mesothelioma.

The chance of recovery for a person with mesothelioma depends on several factors, including:

  • Size of the cancer
  • Location of the cancer
  • Spread of the cancer throughout the body
  • Response to treatment
  • Appearance of the cells under a microscope
  • Age of the patient

Malignant mesothelioma is the most serious of all asbestos-related diseases. Virtually all cases of malignant mesothelioma are attributable to asbestos exposure.

These web pages contain useful mesothelioma information for the sufferers of malignant mesothelioma disease. Knowledge of available mesothelioma treatment options can be an essential weapon in the fight against the progression of this deadly disease.

How to defragment your computer and why it helps (XP)

Do you ever wonder where all that information that you store on your computer goes? Well, first of all it goes into your hard drive. Secondly it stores the information in specific locations. Notice that i said “specific locations.” This is important because when storing data, the computer stores them in different locations. This means that one part of your file could be at the front of the disk while another part is in the middle and so on. Why does this matter? It matters because when your computer tries to access those files, it takes time searching for the bits and pieces of data that constitute that one big file, causing your computer to perform at a slower rate. Therefore, defragmenting your computer disk will allow the computer to access files in an orderly manner. now that you have an overview of what defragmenting exactly is, lets get started on the process. This guide will assist you on Windows XP.

Step 1: Uninstall / Remove any unwanted programs and files (XP Version)

1. It is best to remove those files/programs because more space will be acquired and will leave you prone to fragmentation.

2. To do this, first go to START.

3. Then find the button that says “Control Panel” and click on it.

4. Browse through the list that appears and find “Add or Remove Programs.”

5. Then remove the programs that you wish to delete from your hard drive.

Step 2: Defragment the Drive (XP Version)

1. Go to START and right click. Then click “explore.”

2. Find the disk on the left side that you wish to defragment and right click on it. It usually is “Local Disk: (C).”

3. Click on properties after that.

4. Find the tab that says”Tools” on the top and click it.

5. Now find the “Defragment Now” button and click that.

6. Now a window show open up as show below.

7. Now click on Analyze. This should take some time, depending on the speed of your computer.

8. After it is done analyzing, click on Defragment and wait for it to finish.

5 Steps to Optimize your Windows XP Operating System

Have you ever wondered why your PC or even laptop starts up so slowly? Does your computer have billions of programs that load up when you load up XP? Now there is a guide. A guide to fixing those problems and more! Follow the steps below for great system optimization.

Step 1: Remove those unwanted programs that load in the beginning.

How to:

1. Go to Start.

2. Click Run

3. Where it says “type the name of the program…” and enter: “msconfig”

4. Look at the different tabs and look for “Startup” and click on it.

5. Now you should see many different programs as such:

6. In this list, if your computer is kinda old, you should see many programs. A majority of them will be spyware/adware. All you have to do is uncheck the programs that you do not wish to start up in the beginning. After you have done this, it will ask you to restart. Click restart now and restart the computer. After you do this, you should notice that your computer will start up MUCH faster.

Step 2: Clean your temp files, cache files, and recycle bin.

How to:

1. First you need to have the Hard Drive you want to clean. To do this, right click on START. Then click explore. After you have done this, look on your left and select the drive you wish to clean. An example of the drive would be “Local Disk: C” or “Local Disk: D”

2. Right click on your disk and go to “Properties.” You should see the screen below. If you dont, u did not follow directions.

3. Now for the cleaning. Click “Disk Cleanup” near the bottom right.

4. Depending on the speed of your computer and the volume of the disk you have left, it should take some time.

5. After disk cleanup has finished analyzing the system, you should see a small window with different files and sizes.

6. Check the boxes that you wish to clean. The preferred ones are always, “Temp Internet Files” + “Recycle Bin” + “Temp Files.” After you have done this, click “Ok.” The cleanup processes should also take some time depending on the speed of your computer. (the speed will be faster after you have finished the guide)

7. You are now done with the disk cleaning.

Step 3: Get a RAM boosting software/buy more RAM.

How to:

1. Find a software that you think will boost your RAM (random access memory). Your computer uses this to store temporary information when you decide to leave the computer for some reason. If it weren’t for RAM, your internet tabs wouldn’t be open when you came back. The one i like to use is RAM Booster 2. This software gets the job done quickly and efficiently. You can download the software here: RAM Booster 2.

2. After you have done this, install the software and follow the directions to optimize your RAM.

3. If you really wish to increase PC or Laptop performance, buying more RAM is the best option. First find you what type of RAM stick your computer supports. Then find an online retailer like newegg.com and buy your ram.

4. The installation process for your RAM is fairly easy. Instructions should be available on your computer company’s website.

Step 4: Get a Virus detection and Adware removal program.

How to:

1. Go to START. Find “control panel” and click it.

2. Now find “Add or Remove Programs” and click it.

3. All you have to do is find the programs you wish to remove and click “uninstall/remove” to the right of its name.
