The new Microsoft Hohm is set to debut next week. As with all new things, many questions come to mind. Hohm is a free online app that might help you save more energy and money. This new application from Microsofts endless array of ideas helps you better understand your home energy usage, gives you recommendations as to how to conserve energy and how to start saving.
“As with any recommendation engine, Hohm will provide increasingly more accurate and relevant suggestions for energy conservation as its users contribute home energy input and feedback. One of the objectives during our beta period is to refine our tool and further increase the value our product can offer to you.” -Microsoft Hohm
Some might see this application as a rival towards Google’s Powermeter. The only difference is that Hohm asks the utility providers to directly give data about the customers who require Hohm’s recomendations.
